Cooling and heat dissipation have become one of the major technical difficulties for such a large light source.

In addition, the fisheye lens of the projector is another key technology, which not only has a large light flux and high image clarity, but also strives to eliminate color difference and minimize spherical aberration to reduce image distortion. Due to the fact that 70mm films have an area several times larger than 35mm films, the film transfer speed is correspondingly increased during projection. Therefore, the 70mm film series includes specifications such as 5mm, 8mm, 10mm, and 15mm. The first 70mm 15 hole film was released, which adopts horizontal transfer, has a large format, and good quality. The 70mm 8-hole and 10 hole films launched adopt vertical film transfer method, which is relatively simpler in technology than 15 hole films and has better performance and price.

From the analysis of the sound restoration system, compared with traditional film magnetization or sound to light conversion methods, dome screen movies adopt a multi track recorder playback method, which is played through multiple sound equipment to meet the requirements. In order to further improve the quality of sound reproduction, some dome movie theaters have adopted a multi-channel laser sound reproduction method.
