In our lives, there are many entertainment venues, and amusement parks are one of them. We all know that there are many types of entertainment activities in amusement parks, such as water rides, roller coasters, and so on. So for operators, it is very important to take good security measures. Today, let's learn together about the safety measures in amusement parks?
Introduction to Safety Measures for Amusement Parks
1. Safety insurance measures
The passenger part of amusement facilities operating in the air should have a solid and reliable overall structure, and important components should be equipped with safety measures.
The number of steel wire ropes or chains used for hanging passengers shall not be less than two. The connection with the seating area must consider maintaining balance when one is disconnected.
The doors of the enclosed cabin that are more than 1 meter above the ground must be equipped with two locking devices that cannot be opened by passengers inside or one locking device with safety. The barriers at the entrance and exit of non enclosed cabins should also have locking devices with safety.
When the power supply suddenly cuts off or the equipment malfunctions during the operation of the amusement facilities, endangering the safety of passengers, automatic or manual emergency stop devices must be installed.
After the amusement equipment malfunctions during operation, measures should be taken to guide passengers.
2. Passenger safety restraint device
When the amusement equipment is in operation, if passengers may be moved, collided or thrown out of the ride, a passenger restraint device must be installed. For high-risk amusement facilities, it is necessary to consider installing two independent restraint devices when necessary. Safety belts, safety bars, gear bars, etc. can be used.
Restraint device: It should be reliable, comfortable, and have appropriate flexibility for components that come into direct contact with passengers. The design of the restraint device should be able to prevent any part of the passenger from being pinched or crushed, and should be easy to adjust and operate.
Seat belt: It can be used alone on facilities with slight swaying or slow lifting speed, without flipping or being thrown out of danger. The use of seat belts should generally be equipped with auxiliary handles. For facilities with intense physical activity, seat belts can serve as auxiliary restraint devices.
Safety bars: When there is a risk of passengers being thrown out during the operation of amusement facilities, corresponding types of safety bars must be installed. The safety bars themselves must have sufficient strength and locking force to ensure that tourists are not thrown out or dropped, and are always in a locked state before the equipment stops running.
3. Safety requirements for safety fences and platforms
Safety fences should be set up separately for entrances and exits, and guide fences should be installed at the entrance. The platform should have anti-skid measures.
The opening direction of the safety fence door should be consistent with the direction of passenger travel (except in special circumstances). To prevent injury to personnel's hands when closing the door, the gap between the door frame and the pillar should be appropriate, or other protective measures should be taken. The entrance and exit of the passenger part of amusement facilities that operate while boarding should not be higher than 300 mm above the platform. The height of the entrance and exit of the passenger part of other amusement facilities from the platform should be convenient for boarding and disembarking.
4. Other safety requirements
Amusement equipment, especially children's play equipment, should be equipped with conspicuous safety signs in necessary places and locations. Safety signs are divided into four types: prohibition signs (red), warning signs (yellow), instruction signs (blue), and warning signs (green).
Wherever passengers can reach, there shall be no exposed sharp edges, corners, burrs, or dangerous protrusions.
The culvert through which amusement facilities pass should be made of materials that are not easily detached, and decorations should be firmly fixed.
The passenger section must indicate the number of passengers and overloading is strictly prohibited.
