Rolling on uneven ground is strictly prohibited, and the surface of the steel wire rope should not be stuck with stones, clay, etc. that affect its use. The steel wire rope should be stored in a dry and ventilated warehouse.

Requirements for daily inspection, maintenance, and upkeep of steel wire ropes: The performance of steel wire ropes may decrease due to wear, corrosion, or other influences.

In order to avoid safety accidents caused by the decrease in the performance of the steel wire rope, it is necessary to regularly inspect the operating status of the steel wire rope, regularly check all parts of the steel wire rope that are prone to wear, and check for broken wires in the worn parts of the steel wire rope.

The inspection should include the following items: the degree of wear and tear of the steel wire rope, the condition of broken wires, the degree of corrosion, the lubrication condition, the deformation condition, the rope connection part, the degree of wear or end fastening of the ground roller supporting the steel wire rope, and other abnormal phenomena. Regularly lubricate the steel wire rope to ensure its good lubrication condition.

All steel wire rope casting rigging must be regularly oiled and maintained at the root of the casting steel wire rope to prevent corrosion and damage to the steel wire rope. The steel wire rope should be regularly coated with lubricating oil during use to ensure rust prevention and lubrication, reduce friction, and extend the service life of the steel wire rope.

The steel wire rope slides on components such as drums, pulleys, and ground rollers. Prolonged friction with these components can easily cause wear and groove formation, leading to accelerated wear of the steel wire rope, deformation and damage, and reduced lifespan. Therefore, these components must be regularly inspected and maintained. If any worn or grooved components are found to be deformed, they must be replaced immediately.
